GET TO KNOW LISA

L.L. Smith is a multifaceted woman of entertainment, ministry and entrepreneurship.  Her drive and focus have always been to help others to know why they were born and what purpose God gave each of us while here.  She is very passionate about ones discovery of their "gifts". According to her teachings, with the right direction, understanding of the word and faith, a person will begin to know their true path in life.

A graduate of  The Detroit School of Arts, Lisa was honored to receive 2-four year scholarships to Florida Tech and Wayne State University.  She chose Wayne State.  Lisa majored in Business Administration before soon realizing that she was very bored and needed something a bit more stimulating.  So she transferred to The Specs Howard School of Broadcast and Media Arts, where she majored in Television and Radio Broadcasting.  Upon graduation, she received an internship at one of the top radio stations in Detroit, FM 98 WJLB.  She soon graduated from intern to Midday Producer and Production Assistant.  Her rich speaking voice was heard on station drops and an opportunity opened up for her to be a Board Op for Radio One with promise to soon become an on-air personality.  She took the offer and a year later was hosting her own show, middays on the weekend from 10 to 2 with "Mona Lisa" .  Radio was becoming a thing of the past and syndicated satellite soon began to take over.  Luckily for her, that sultry voice won over local talent agencies and her Voiceover and commercial career began!  She joined the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists, Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association (stage).  Lisa has been a professional Actor for Stage, Television and Film ever since.  She goes by the stage name "Lauren LaStrada", as is the recipient of 3 Best Actress Awards for Independent Film and 3 Best Actress Awards for professional stage.  Alongside her career as a performer, she is an Ordained Evangelist, Motivational Speaker and Published Author.  She was Ordained in 2016 by the Covenant Churches of Ohio, led by Bishop G. Frank Sherman of Servants Heart Christian Church where she is a regular Guest Speaker. Aside from Ministry and Entertainment, she enjoys spending time with family, her 3 cats, traveling and watching movies.
